Classical music always uplifts us with its elegance and beauty. Classical tango further weaves elements of subtlety and romance. Concerto da Camera is a chamber music group formed by professional musicians in Hong Kong with the goal of promoting classical music in various chamber music styles. Since 2004, they have been based as a non-profit music organization, performing at many different venues. Now, let’s welcome Ms. Karen Yeung and Ms. Lam Yuen Wa with piano and bassoon. They will play a piece from “Le Grand Tango” by Astor Piazzolla.

“As to Master Ching Hai’s call to save the Planet, I believe that as individuals, we all should put in effort to save the planet. Under current circumstances, I myself have realized that even though I’m not a ‘veggie’ (vegan) yet, I’ll do my best. Hopefully, step by step, we can change our food habit.

(Earlier, Supreme Master Ching Hai was calling for ‘[Global] Unity in Saving the Planet’ through this conference. After listening to it, what do you think about Supreme Master Ching Hai? Do you have any reflections?) I find Her truly admirable, and She has made such a great effort in how to promote the culture of ‘saving the planet.’ I’m thinking that after returning to Macau, hopefully, we, as global citizens, can all spur this culture back home.”

“I’m from Macau. My whole family is vegetarian. I’ve been vegetarian for nine years, and my younger brothers have been vegetarian since they were in my mother’s womb. Since they were fetuses. (What about you, Madam?) I come from Guangzhou. I’m here to support Supreme Master Ching Hai’s vegan campaign. I feel it’s great to be vegetarian. It’s beneficial to one’s health. Good for health!

(You’ve been vegetarian for so long. Do you feel it’s beneficial?) Eating vegetarian foods is much better for your brains. You see how good I am? I’m at the top of the class.”
