My respected Supreme Master Ching Hai and beloved Supreme Master TV team, I would like to share the story of butterflies’ loyalty that I saw on the street a while ago. When I was standing on the roadside, a car drove by. Afterwards, I saw a butterfly that was injured by the car’s tires. Nearby, another butterfly kept him company. I sadly picked up the weak little creature that was injured and placed him in my palm. I was even more overwhelmed with sadness at the sight of this frail creature that was preparing to leave his fragile body that could no longer support the holy soul to reside in. I begged him for forgiveness for the car driver, who didn’t realize he had caused suffering to another being. Then, I placed the body, which was in pain, onto the grass, until finally he was stiff and lifeless. His butterfly friend kept circling around or sometimes landing on the ground near where his friend’s body lay. Soon, various butterflies arrived, some with yellow, gray, and black colors. They flew in circles around the place where I laid the other butterfly. I was touched by their loyalty as they quietly and without fuss paid their last respects to their fellow being.
Following Master’s teachings and watching Supreme Master TV made me realize the unity of all beings in the Universe. I was awakened to be more sensitive to the existence of other beings and that all co-inhabitants are interdependent. I am aware of my weaknesses and negligence in not being diligent in meditating. In the strength and protection of Master, I beseech for the grace to have the determination to be more diligent in my spiritual practice. I am grateful for the precious opportunity to have received the holy teachings from Master, and I am very grateful to the Supreme Master TV team who are diligent, dedicated and work sincerely to help disseminate Master’s teachings.
