His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, has announced that his nation will furnish US$400 million in relief assistance to Ukraine (Ureign). His Royal Highness also stated that the Kingdom would assist in negotiation efforts and provide all necessary help to de-escalate the Ukraine (Ureign) war. This includes the prisoner exchange process. In September 2022, with the crown prince’s mediation, 10 prisoners of war from five countries were freed from Russia. Another subvariant of the Omicron COVID-19 virus called XBB has been spreading in parts of Asia faster than other variants, and it also evades immunity more efficiently. In Singapore, the Omicron BA.4 and BA.5 subvariants have already been overtaken by XBB, and it has also been found in Korea, Japan, Bangladesh, the Philippines and other countries. The virus is considered a new class of Omicron and has also been detected in the United States and Denmark. Antibody medications are also less effective against it. Some of these sounds are common, like a vacuum cleaner. It is crucial your furry friends are socialized and adapted to a wide range of stimuli, including various sounds they will encounter, by the age of 12-14 weeks. If they are not accustomed to this, it could lead to phobias in the future. For instance, if your canine buddy is left by themselves for a long period while the smoke alarm battery is beeping as it needs to be replaced, this may lead to a noise phobia, specifically to this sound. Other possibly anxiety-producing sounds include fireworks, thunder, and sirens. Please pay attention to see if they react to certain noises by trembling, shaking, pacing, panting or being on high alert— if so, they may have a noise phobia. If you notice this condition, please seek the help of a professional therapist specialized in canine-people issues and avoid these sounds when possible. Hungarian researchers calculate the rooftop solar potential of the planet.
Scientists from the Central European University in Hungary have calculated that if solar photovoltaic-thermal (PV/T) panels were placed on useable building rooftops in 11 regions around the world, 47.6 petawatt hours of electricity could be generated between 2022 and 2060. The researchers believe that placing panels on 75% of these suitable roofs would be enough power to satisfy the needs of the buildings, which consume about one-third of the electricity produced globally. Most generating capacity is in Asia, and the study does not take into account future technological advances in PV/T panels. Study finds smiling can make you feel happier.
According to a recent report published in the journal Nature Human Behavior by researchers from Stanford University in the United States and elsewhere, mimicking a smile can boost your mood. In the experiment, 3,878 participants from 19 countries were randomly assigned into three groups with different instructions to simulate a smile while looking at cheerful images or just a blank screen. The first group would hold a pen in their mouths, while the second group tried to imitate the facial expressions of smiling actors. The third group was instructed on using only the muscles in their face to lift their cheeks. Participants from the second and third groups reported a noticeable increase in feelings of happiness. Nine-year-old visually impaired boy honored for exceptional positive attitude and accomplishments.
Bob Clarke of Basingstoke, UK has been awarded the Thorburn Award for Outstanding Achievement by the charity Open Sight Hampshire. Three years ago, Bob was diagnosed with optic nerve atrophy and ataxia, conditions that lead to loss of sight. However, this has not stopped the inspirational youngster from participating in and enjoying his hobbies. He has continued to be a dancing enthusiast and earned a green belt in martial arts. Bob’s mother, Rebecca Clarke, said that Bob loves life and he and other visually impaired youngsters can still join in and excel in any activities they choose. Joyful wheelchair-using dog-person voted world’s most adorable rescued canine-individual.
Gordon, an 11-year-old Shiba Inu-fellow competed with more than 9,000 other contestants for the World’s Cutest Rescue Dog Contest 2022 title in the US, sponsored by PEOPLE magazine. His reward includes a US$1,000 donation to the animal-people rescue of his parents’ choice. Wendy Wickersham and Jim Larson from Arkansas, USA, adopted Gordon with the help of Love and Second Chances, a California-based rescue, in November 2021 from Taiwan, also known as Formosa, after Ms. Wickersham saw a picture of him on Facebook. She could not resist his “biggest and goofiest” smile, despite his two hind legs being paralyzed due to an accident. In his new home, Gordon has transformed from a frightened dog-person to a confident, playful one. He loves cookies, snuggling and outdoor activities. Thanks to Your teachings, one of Your disciples, our current human mother, who couldn’t bear to see the pitiful animal-people being slaughtered, sold her business in the city seven years ago and established this “Lotus Pond Vegan Animal-People Home.” She then began to rescue stray cat- and dog-people. Later, many other animal-people who were rescued from the knife also came here. Currently, there are over 150 dog-people, more than 200 goose-, duck-, cat-, rabbit-, and goat-people, and countless aquatic animal-people living here.
Mom feeds us vegan food and plays Your Buddha Chanting, lectures, and Supreme Master TV 24 hours every day. She also teaches us: “We have a common Master. We must practice well, go back to Heaven and not reincarnate anymore.” We don’t make noise or fight and get along very harmoniously with each other. The environment here is so peaceful and comfortable. We live in love every day. We’re very satisfied and grateful.
Thanks to God’s Grace and Buddha’s Blessings, in the past few years, many kind humans from all walks of life have been helping our human mother, such as donating vegan dog-people food. Our mom also grows a lot of sweet potatoes and winter melons by herself. The fresh organic sweet potato leaves are our favorite. We can consume 45 kilograms a day.
Princess Yao-Yao is a pure white dog-person. She really likes the new name our mom gave her. She often laughs happily. One rooster bodhisattva has a unique personality and is very spiritual. When mom kindly asks him to sing, he accommodates nicely. But if he doesn’t get enough applause, he playfully refuses to perform. There is also a dog bodhisattva named Gun-Gun, who is number one in tolerance. No matter how others challenge him, he won’t react. He never fights for food.
The animal-people here are all vegan. They are always very peaceful when they die. En-Guang was a lovely dog-person. After he passed away, he was still grinning. One can imagine what happy Heaven he had reached at the moment of his departure. Some of the animal companions emitted beautiful Lights when passing away, just like the Light of a good spiritual human practitioner, which proves that the fairy tales of animal-people practicing spiritually are true.
Master often says that animal-people help and bless humans. This is very true. We sincerely pray that our human friends will wake up quickly, be kind to each other, and stop killing us and eating our flesh, so that when leaving this world, their souls can avoid unimaginable suffering in hell.
