In today’s news, Nepal receives global assistance following regional catastrophe in August 2026. London, UK’s air clean-up linked to improved lung health in British children, simulation shows elevated solar panels could help grow crops beneath them and keep farmworkers cooler in the United States, engineers in Switzerland create tiny flying robots powered by sound waves, blind Egyptian student develops artificial intelligence app that helps visually impaired people see through audio, Canadian salon recognized for excellence in vegan beauty services, and wildlife rescue center in Âu Lạc (Vietnam) offers care to nearly 200 injured animal-people. Here is a home safety tip for you. A hair dryer may only get used for a few minutes each time, so there is little reason to leave it plugged in. Make a habit of switching it off and unplugging it after every use, particularly if it is kept in the bathroom. Bathrooms have moisture and water nearby, increasing the risk of electric shock if a plugged-in appliance comes into contact with water. Keep hair dryers away from sinks, bathtubs and faucets, never use them or handle their plugs with wet hands, and if a connected hair dryer falls into water, don’t reach for it. Switch off the power first, then unplug it before retrieving it. When unplugging a hair dryer, pull the plug itself rather than the cord, then store it safely away, especially where children cannot reach it.
