In today’s news, study calls for change in human involvement with animals, China assists Niger in healthcare, green jet fuel to reduce carbon emissions from flights, Canadian and United States researchers find birds have ability to see the world in vast colors, Emirati teenager creates economical diving bag to collect underwater waste, new textured vegan protein developed in United States, and kindhearted women in Bhutan rescue abandoned calves.

Experts urge for widespread changes in human interactions with wild and farmed animals to avoid fatal outbreaks.

In a research paper entitled “Post COVID-19: a solution scan of options for preventing future zoonotic epidemics,” a team of 25 international veterinary and wildlife experts identified seven human behaviors that could potentially cause another pandemic, including intensive farming. The study found 161 options to possibly reduce risks of zoonotic transmission, with the authors advising for a switch to plant-based food, clothing, and medicine alternatives. Dr. Silviu Petrovan, a veterinarian and wildlife expert from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, and the study’s lead author, said, “[The] general reduction in [the] consumption of wild animals, farmed wildlife, livestock or animal-based products would go a long way…” Many thanks, international wildlife and veterinary experts. May humankind quickly switch to the life-sustaining vegan lifestyle, as we herald a safe future for all, in God’s brilliance.

China contributes to healthcare funds for mothers and children in Niger.

The government of China, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Wildlife-Protection, Wise Governance and Compassionate Protection laureate, has donated US$1 million to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to improve maternal and newborn healthcare services in Niger. Funding will support efforts toward universal health coverage, provide children with quality preventative medical care, and cure serious diseases. Additionally, it will allow UNICEF’s continued partnership with community health staff. UNICEF plans to implement its Community-Integrated Management of Childhood Illness approach in seven districts of the Tahoua Region, where they will improve maternal and neonatal care at 51 health facilities. The project is expected to benefit more than 96,000 women and 260,000 children who live afar from health facilities. Our sincere appreciation, China! In Heaven’s everlasting grace, may the kind people of Niger be greeted with a bright and abundant future.

Hallo, vibrant viewers, it’s Chirpy the vegan Parakeet! People say I have intuitive understandings and insights. Want to enhance your intuition? Switch over to a vegan diet and you’ll be fabulous - like me! I have a handy organizational tip for you today. You can reuse a wooden suit hanger to organize your glasses. Hang your frequently used glasses on the pant bar of the hanger. Then, hang the rack in an easy to spot place. This is such a convenient way to find your glasses or avoid breaking them, isn’t it? Thank you and love you so much for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. And thanks for tuning in. Now, the weather around the world!

Industry consortium to produce jet fuel from renewable power in Norway.

Norsk e-Fuel, a new consortium of European companies, will build a production facility in Norway to create renewable fuel from carbon dioxide and water. Using a single step, co-electrolysis process that runs on renewable energy to capture ambient air and sources of unavoidable CO2, the resulting hydrogen synthetic gas can then be processed into renewable jet fuel for use in aviation. Once the plant is complete in 2023, 10 million liters will be produced per year, which will scale up to 100 million liters by 2026. Additionally, 250,000 tons of emissions will be prevented annually. What wonderful news, Norsk e-Fuel consortium, for creating a facility that will provide carbon-neutral jet fuel, thereby allowing people to travel while protecting the environment. May we see more such eco-friendly initiatives as we embrace a sustainable, vegan world, in Divine greatness.

Scientists discover birds can perceive non-spectral colors.

Researchers from various universities across North America have found that birds can see additional colors that are beyond the spectrum visible to people. Birds have four different types of color cones in their eyes, compared to humans who have three. The non-spectral colors that are theoretically visible to birds are purple (which humans can also see), ultraviolet+green, ultraviolet+red, ultraviolet+yellow, and ultraviolet+purple. In an experiment, researchers illuminated feeder boxes, containing sugar water and plain water, with various colors – including the non-spectral ones. They observed hummingbirds over three years, regularly switching out the sugar water, and found that the birds learned which color box had food through color discrimination. Such a fascinating study, that birds can see more hues of the wondrous beauty of the natural world. May our avian angels continue to enchant, sustain and beautify our world, in Heavenly splendor.

Sixteen-year-old Dubai scuba diver invents eco-friendly bag to remove trash from oceans.

Akshansh Khrodia, a licensed master scuba diver in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, designed a lift-bag that can haul 12-15 kilograms of garbage from the seafloor. The bag was perfected following many trials and can be easily rolled up to be carried in a scuba diver’s pocket. Constructed from shoelaces, a large trash bag, and a carabiner hook, the bag can ascend to the surface on its own when it is full. Since September 2019, Akshansh has been organizing ocean cleanups through his “Sea.Me.And.Dive” initiative. He was inspired to clear the ocean of trash after seeing its vast beauty during scuba diving training. A standing ovation on your trail-blazing invention and ocean cleaning efforts, Akshansh Khrodia. We pray that all bodies of water worldwide be restored to their pristine condition in Divine magnificence.

Coming up, new textured vegan protein developed in United States. We’ll take a moment to think of someone who makes our heart smile, and wish them well. More praiseworthy news, once we return, here on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News - Harmonious News for a Cooperative World.

United States-based companies develop next-generation vegan protein.

Food tech company Nutriati and its partner PLT Health Solutions have developed the vegan Artesa Textured Pulse Protein – an ingredient that allows producers to create vegan meats with higher predictability and more closely replicating the eating experience people are accustomed to. Made from a proprietary blend of chickpea flour and yellow pea protein, Artesa Textured Pulse Protein facilitates manufacturers to create meat analogs without using binders, emulsifiers or texturizers, thus using fewer ingredients. The product was developed over several years by Nutriati’s Culinary Team and is also non-GMO and non-allergenic. Way to go, Nutriati and PLT Health Solutions, for your food technology advancement that will allow manufacturers to create delicious and healthy protein products from plants. In Celestial bliss, may your companies prosper and thrive as your new product makes its way into countless food items.

Kindhearted Bhutanese women rescue abandoned calves.

A group of eight women have built a shelter called Merak Sakteng Babies, in Sakteng, Trashigang District of Bhutan, which is currently home to 20 stray calves. Despite their busy schedules as civil servants, the group feeds the calves daily, providing them with comfort and safety. The number of abandoned calves is rising in the area and the young cows have difficulty surviving as strays. As a result, the caregivers have been educating people on animal welfare and good initial feeding practices. Their efforts have been met with community support, with one of the members, Kuenzang Lhamo, a teacher at Sakteng Lower Secondary School, commenting that there are already positive changes among people. Our gratitude, compassionate Merak Sakteng Babies caregivers, for your dedication to the darling young calves. May our animal friends always be treated with love and respect in Heaven’s watchful gaze. Supreme Master Ching Hai: “Caringly sends Merak Sakteng Babies US$10,000 toward the upkeep of the innocent calves with all love and embracing gratitude.”

Ready for a joke that’ll make you laugh out loud? Here’s a fun one entitled “Diet Pills.”

Clark’s dog, Sandy, was overweight, so the vet gave him some diet pills for the dog. On the return visit the dog’s weight was unchanged.

So the vet asked him: “Are you having trouble getting Sandy to take the pills?”

“Oh no. I hide them in her ice cream!”

And now we have a heartline from Welfare of the world in India:

Most Honorable Supreme Master Ching Hai, Kindly accept our Namaste and good wishes to You and all Your magical team. Your book “From Crisis to Peace” about the vegan lifestyle is fantastic and a really beautiful answer to restore Peace in the world. It is the truth that killing creatures generates negative energy and that negative vibes are responsible for all the calamities and disasters in our world. Regarding this, You have converted so many people to veganism because only by being vegan, we can stop these negative developments. There is an organization in India that has been working for more than 110 years, which forbids all kinds of slaughtering of animals. It also awakens people to the power of nature and our diets and how to develop this World in peaceful ways. In 1881, there was a saint in India who tried to bring awareness to worldwide disasters in his book, showing the reasons and the solutions. He also stated that The Almighty never harms anybody and equally nurtures all living beings because the soul is immortal and energy is Divine, but as man's mind is diverted, he has forgotten all good in humanity and that leads to inhuman activities like killing other creatures. By killing, there are negative vibrations and disturbances that occur in the natural world cycles. Harmful negative vibrations were proved by this saint, and the book that brought all this to light was published in 1909. All volcanoes, earthquakes, disease, famine, floods, global warming, mind derailment, tsunamis, tempests, sudden deaths, environmental catastrophes, etc., all these were highlighted with solutions provided. We have faith and believe that together we can save the world, if You kindly permit us to come together to think, plan and work together as a Team to save Mother Earth. Welfare of the world India Attitude of Gratitude Thanksgiving and deep Regards

Dear Noble Welfare of the world, Thank you for your insightful thoughts regarding Supreme Master Ching Hai’s book, “From Crisis to Peace.”

Master has a reply for you: “Wise Welfare of the world, you clearly state the solution to our world’s perilous situation and, yes, it is very simple – the vegan lifestyle. All the negative events that you listed are indeed a result of humanity’s immoral or inhumane actions, the foremost of which is killing our animal brethren. As you note, the saints of the past have always been aware of the dire consequences of not leading peaceful lives. Please help spread the word of veganism so that we save our one and only lovely earth home. May you and the benevolent Indian people continue to radiate love, in God’s glory.”
