There’s another one. This one is a story about the affliction by Shulpani. “Wandering, Mahavira one day, arrived near a small forlorn village on the banks of river Vegvati. The villagers informed Him that the ferocious lance-wielding demon, named Shulpani Yaksha…” He was just standing there, meditating. “A mad elephant appeared…Next appeared a black serpent. He caused extreme pain in the seven delicate spots within Mahavira’s body. Even this extreme agony failed to pierce the serenity of His composure. Drained of all his demonic energy.” “All of a sudden, a divine spiritual Light illuminated his inner Self. Then, the demon was utterly humble and with great humility. Begged Mahavira’s pardon. ‘Shulpani! Anger supplements anger and love begets love. If you do not cause fear, you will become free of all fears always. So, destroy the poison of your anger.’ Mahavira spent His first monsoon-stay at the Asthik-gram.” I don't know if anyone could undergo such asceticism and sacrifice like Lord Mahavira did. This is not the end yet.
