“People need to reconnect with what they’re eating.” As our oceans and atmosphere begin to warm, the water cycles of the planet are beginning to change. Taiwan (Formosa) is no stranger to extreme weather, but in recent years the strength and frequency of the typhoons have increased. People don’t realize the food system is collapsing.” As new conflicts break out over these dwindling resources, we are witnessing the beginning of a mass exodus of people moving North, desperate to survive. In response to this modern-day mass migration, Spain has built a massive wall that runs along its southernmost border in Melilla. Amid predictions that this migratory pattern is set to increase, it seems increasingly clear that our world is poorly prepared to cope.
