So, the real Master truly is also hard to find. And I hope He or She won’t beat you up like Marpa did to Milarepa, and They just give you enlightenment immediately, the way I give it to my own disciples. So it depends on your luck. But the criteria is that you have to see the Light of Heaven and hear the Voice of Heaven, the Word of God, the teaching of the Buddha directly. That’s the criteria. Be

So He (the Buddha) probably had Brahmin disciples, and/or Muslim disciples or any other old traditional religion, but they became Buddha’s disciples. But as the Buddha was not like a dictator, He let any of His disciples continue to follow their religion. Just like in our initiation condition, I say that you continue to follow your religion and do whatever you do with the ritual of your religion.

So, it is not like you can just repeat or learn from somebody else, second- or third-hand from the Buddha – that means produced from the Buddha’s teaching – and then you can be enlightened. It has to be a living Teacher. And many other monks also, like Ānanda and other persons – They had to be under the Buddha’s merciful Guidance, with tremendous Power from within the Buddha Himself. In many scrip

I want to thank herewith Mahākāśyapa for being so kind to me. We were friends in earlier lives, and we were good with each other, compatible. Thank You for the relics of the Buddha. Thank You for the bowl, like the alms bowl, the begging bowl for the monk. […] But in our time, Mahākāśyapa should understand, the Buddha also understands that it’s very difficult to go out begging, especially for a wo

So, everything you do for others, mind you, you will bear the karma. It’s not possible that you help someone and you become karma-free. It’s not like that. Somehow, you will have to bear some. There’s one story in India. One man learned from a Master that he should not give things to the poor people or to the bad people because he will become poor, or he will go to hell himself for those sins that

What else do I want to tell you? I keep telling things and it jumps from one thing to another. Mahākāśyapa never wanted to marry. But His parents wanted Him to marry, of course, because He’s a son and He will inherit all their business, their properties, and He will have children for them and all that. So, they really kept pressuring Him to marry, but He said He doesn’t want to. And they kept pres

Oh God, we talked too long. I wanted to tell you about Mahākāśyapa. Mahākāśyapa, He’s supposed to be still in that Chicken Foot Mountain. And many people went there for pilgrimage and buying souvenir stuff from there. They believe the souvenirs have Blessings from the great Mahākāśyapa. But He Himself, the real monk, is staying in that mountain. Nobody can see Him. Of course, He’s hidden inside a

If a monk is wearing a monk’s robe – which is very dignified and represents liberation, represents compassion – and just sits there munching, biting, gnawing, or chomping a chicken-person’s leg, then I would feel very put off. I saw it before in some Hinayana Buddhist country, and it was really a sight that I would not want to see again. At that time, I was still married, a householder. And then m

Hi there, all the beautiful souls that descended into this world to give benefits to all others, as many as you are capable, according to God’s Grace and God’s Will. I’m glad you are in this world, and I love you for that, and I thank you for that. Even if you do some little good to others, even though you think it’s little, it could mean the world to the receiver. At least your soul is pure, your

I wish all of you, no matter what situation, to continue to hold on to your faith, meditate well with all your heart, all your mind, all your sincerity. Not just to benefit yourself, your family, your friends, or whomever around you, your neighbors, but also to benefit the whole world. And for that, I thank you. “So, all three monks vomited out all kinds of meat, like chicken meat, cow meat, you k

It’s about a past, means a Buddhist past. “Long, long, long, long time ago, there were four people who were Buddhist and very, very faithful and very, very diligent in their practice. That is, day and night, they tried very hard to recite the Buddha’s teaching and recite the Buddha’s names in the determination to become Buddhas.” Hi, lovely people, all of you in the whole wide world. It looks like champagne. Looks very much like champagne. Beautiful and it bubbles and everything. Except no alcohol. All is good? (Yes. Very good.) Happy, happy? (Yes. Thank You, Master.) You know what, we’re going to eat some of this because always sweet, sweet, sweet. Oh, like it. OK. Any questions at all concerning the lecture I just gave you? My God, so quiet. Suddenly. No problem? (No.) OK. T

A monk, he forgets all his family already, and he goes out to become a monk, then at least his heart is purified. And he walks around lending his beautiful energy to the whole country. He doesn’t have to do anything. So they should treat him with respect, all the monks. Regardless, regardless of what religion. In India, you see, everyone is safe. I mean as far as Hinduism and Buddhism are concerne

Many Indian people don't go to Gangotri, the source of the Ganges River, where the ice melts and becomes the water of the Ganges. The source of the Ganges River, I went there, bathed in it. I told you already. I count “one, two, three,” jump in and jump out, because it's too frozen. Even in May it's still frozen. Now. “On the following day, the monks began a discussion in the Hall of Truth.” Just

This is a terrible sin. To slander someone and dishonor his reputation is just as bad as killing him, or worse, especially when that person is an enlightened Saint and doing nothing harmful to no one. Just preaching good and reminding people to do good, or teaching them a liberation path. That's why. They called her to come because somebody advised them that this woman, if you engage her, you can

They didn't understand what the Buddha truly was. They didn’t know His power. Their preachings (were) just from outside, telling people, maybe repeating from the Vedas or from some other scripture. But the Buddha is the inner realization, powerful from inside. Can bless people, can save people, can liberate souls, even from hell. Different. Let's go Buddha business, or… My God, just eating all day

It’s good to know that there is such a Bodhisattva around. (Yes.) So people who don’t practice Quan Yin Method or anything can pray to him. Even just praying sincerely one time, that’s merit enough to make an excuse for the Earth Store Bodhisattva to save you, to save whoever. All right. It’s a very touching story. (Yes.) How just a woman, because of love for her mother has made her become such a

So anyone who dies who hasn’t done good deeds or done bad deeds, then this is the time of judgment. If you help them, the living beings help them, pray for them or reciting sutra, Buddha’s sutra, do any good things and tell them good stuff, from the living Master as well, then it’s good, better for them. Then their sin will be minimized and they might be liberated accordingly. So this kind of Unin
