In today’s news, Japan helps vulnerable people in Mozambique, Australian scientists discover plastic pollution on ocean floor, Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam, creates nature reserve, Germany takes steps to reduce smoking, United States charity offers showers and laundry services to displaced people, college football player heightens performance through vegan diet, and mine-detecting rat wins prestigious award.

Japan, a Shining World Leadership Awards for Compassion, Animal Protection and Generosity laureate, supports food security for refugees in Mozambique.

The government of Japan contributed over US$1.8 million to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) to provide food aid and livelihood support for internally displaced people in Cabo Delgado Province and 9,500 individuals residing in Maratane Refugee Camp, Nampula Province. In collaboration with the Government of Mozambique and other United Nations agencies, the WFP plans to develop the beneficiaries’ income-generating capacities and self-reliance skills. Describing Japan “as one of the closest friends of Mozambique,” Japanese Ambassador to Mozambique, His Excellency Kimura Hajime, pledged continuing assistance, saying, “Japan is always on your side.” We thank you, Japan. You are indeed a true friend to Mozambique! Thank you also, United Nations World Food Programme. May your loving actions bring much comfort to families in Heaven’s care.

Study determines the extent of microplastic pollution on the sea floor.

A study by the Australian government’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) has determined that there are at least 14 million metric tons of microplastics littering the sea bed. The study was conducted by sending a robot submarine into the Great Australian Bight off the coast of South Australia. The submarine collected samples from six sites up to 3,000 meters deep, and discovered that for every gram of sediment, there was 1.26 pieces of microplastic. As urban areas were not included in the estimate, the actual amount is potentially much higher. Our appreciation, CSIRO, for your study into the serious extent of plastic pollution on the ocean floor. We pray that all nations, corporations and people will work together to limit plastic waste through recycling and switching to eco-friendly alternatives.

Up next, Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam, establishes nature reserve. We give thanks to the ornithologists who study birds and help to safeguard their natural habitats. When we return, more exemplary news ahead, here on Supreme Master Television!

Hallo charming viewers, I’m Anne the vegan Addax. It makes sense that when you eat foods with light and love, like raw fruits and veggies, your aura will naturally be radiant. So, let it shine and go vegan like me! Did you know that it is healthy to converse with your furry friends? A large study performed by Mars Petcare and Human Animal Bond Research in the United States revealed that caring for an animal and speaking to them could help improve many health issues. (Perhaps it is because we really do listen, understand, and have so much love and blessings to share!) Thank you for watching and love you for Being Veg and Going Green 2 Save the Planet for all of us humans and all co-inhabitants alike. Here’s the weather around the world!

New nature reserve protects wildlife in Âu Lạc, also known as Vietnam.

Following the lobbying efforts of Âu Lạc-based conservation nonprofit Việt Nature Conservation Centre, an area in the country’s central region was transformed into a nature reserve for threatened and critically endangered species. Spanning over 11,000 hectares of lowland evergreen forests in the Annamite Mountains, the Động Châu-Khe Nước Trong Nature Reserve is home to 40 globally threatened species including the Sunda pangolin, Saola, Edwards’s pheasant, southern white-cheeked gibbon, and Annamite striped rabbit. Resource extraction is prohibited and tourists are not allowed in certain ecological rehabilitation zones. A high salute, Việt Nature Conservation Centre. May world leaders, scientists and activists work together to continue improving animal welfare and promoting biodiversity, in Heaven’s guidance.

Germany implements additional restrictions on tobacco advertising.

New legislation was recently approved by Germany’s upper parliament to further restrict tobacco advertising as approximately 121,000 German lives are lost annually to the detrimental habit. Starting next year, smoking-related advertising in movies and handing out free samples outside stores will be banned. In 2022, outdoor advertising of conventional tobacco products will also be prohibited, expanding to include heated tobacco products in 2023 and electronic cigarettes in 2024. Germany’s restrictions first began in 1974 when the nation stopped advertising tobacco products on television and radio. Germany is a Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion and a Shining World Caring Leadership Award laureate. Thank you, Germany, for your wise laws. May firm anti-tobacco measures across the globe help protect and save citizens’ precious lives, in the support of the Providence.

Mobile shower trailer brings a variety of services to people experiencing homelessness.

United States non-profit Cloud Covered Streets, founded by Robert Thornton in Phoenix, Arizona State, recently converted a trailer to provide free showers and laundry services to people living on the streets. In addition, hair styling, new clothing, hygiene kits, and most importantly, kindness, are gladly given to help individuals “find their path back to living their best life possible.” With help from volunteers, the trailer operates three times a week, alternating between five different locations. Cloud Covered Streets has a goal of going nationwide with 20 trailers by 2025. What an incredible caring endeavor, Robert Thornton and Cloud Covered Streets! God bless all of you. May we always look after each other and thereby bring out our noble qualities.

Coming up, college football player heightens performance through a vegan diet. We’ll pause a moment to send out thoughts of love and solidarity to all spiritual peace seekers across the world. You’re watching Noteworthy News on Supreme Master Television. Welcome back to Noteworthy News – Exemplary News for an Ideal World.

American student football player improves performance on a vegan diet.

Twenty-one-year-old Justin Fields, a quarterback for Ohio State University, impressed his coaches with his off-season workout after transitioning to a plant-based diet. In the previous season, Justin was already a nationally recognized, stellar athlete, but after the team’s nutrition staff helped him make the dietary shift, he became an even “stronger and faster player.” A number of American professional football players, including Cam Newton and Tom Brady, have also credited the vegan diet for their performance improvements in recent years. Congratulations, Justin Fields, on achieving a new level of prowess sustained by a compassionate diet. May more and more athletes in all fields follow suit and adopt the plant-strong way of living.

Mine-detecting rat wins prestigious award for animals.

In recognition of his “lifesaving bravery and exceptional devotion to duty,” a giant African pouched rat named Magawa was presented a Gold Medal from the People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA), a veterinary charity in the United Kingdom. Trained in Tanzania as a HeroRAT by Belgian non-governmental anti-landmine organization APOPO, Magawa only needs 30 minutes to thoroughly search an area that would normally take a person up to four days. Using his light weight and keen sense of smell, he has cleared over 141,000 square meters of land in Cambodia, discovering 39 landmines and 28 items of unexploded ordinance. Local farmers and citizens are grateful to no longer be living in fear of injury. Our praise and congratulations, diligent Magawa, and many thanks, APOPO, for your lives-saving initiative! May the Divine continue to bless our amazingly intelligent and helpful animal friends.

Did you have time to loosen up today? Now you can with a good laugh entitled “Habit to Fix.”

Every day, Charley, a new retiree greeter at a supermarket, was 5, 10 and sometimes 15 minutes late to work. But he was otherwise an excellent worker: neat in appearance, alert and attentive to the customers, everything that an employer could ask for. One day, the boss called Charley into the office for a talk.

“Charley, you do a great job, but you being late so often is a bit of a problem.”

“Yes. I know boss, and I am working on it.”

“Well thanks for your effort. That’s what I like to hear. It’s odd though, you always being late. I know you’re retired from the military. What did they say if you came in late there?”

“They said, ‘Good morning, General. Tea or coffee this morning, Sir?’”

And now we have a heartline from Hsin-Hsin Chang in Taiwan, also known as Formosa:

Dear Supreme Master Ching Hai, I am a Taiwanese (Formosan) worker in New York City, USA. Recently, I came back to Taiwan (Formosa) and tested positive for COVID-19. I am very grateful that our government and the medical staff take care of every case with great consideration and love. I heard from Supreme Master Television that coronavirus originates from animals, so I ordered vegan meals offered at the hospital every day. My family also looked for all kinds of natural remedies online and sent those for me to try. At last, I saw a video clip from a phytopathologist from Wuhan, China sent by my father, which explains the method of cleaning coronavirus in the lungs by inhaling the garlic allicin vapor, so I decided to make the garlic paste in the hospital myself. Unexpectedly, my lungs had recovered 90% by the next morning and I got a negative result for COVID-19 on the following day. Therefore, I kept inhaling the garlic vapor twice a day, and I got 2 consecutive negative results in the same week. I sincerely thank You. Though I have already recovered and left the hospital, I still follow Your guidance by being vegan and praying for the world. I want to share Your merciful message with the world, and the miracle I was cured by the garlic, the beautiful plant gifted by God. With my highest regards to You, and the frontline medical workers who took care of me with their professionalism and love. Hsin Hsin from Taiwan (Formosa)

Fortunate Hsin Hsin, Thank you for sharing your path to good health.

Supreme Master Ching Hai has a reply for you: “Trusting Hsin Hsin, my deep Love extends to you, those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and all the courageous and selfless healthcare workers who have taken such good care of you and so many sick people suffering at this time. Bravo for making the change to a vegan diet! I pray that you and others will continue to make compassionate food choices and give our animal friends the respect and love they so rightly deserve. Thank you for sharing your story so that others may benefit. May you, your loved ones, and the considerate Taiwanese (Formosan) people be blessed by the Buddhas’ everlasting mercy.”
